It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our deeply loved friend, Nancy D. O’Connor.
Nancy was born in September, 1948, to Dennis Frederick O’Connor, father, and Dorothy Ruth Diman O’Connor, mother, being raised by them in Manchester, New Hampshire. Nancy attended Central High School, obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Animal Sciences and Agriculture at the University of New Hampshire and went on to obtain a law degree at the University of New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts.
After marrying the love of her life, Robin Tyler, they settled in the Inlet Beach, Florida, area. Nancy became a member of the Florida Bar in 1981, after which she was an Assistant State Attorney for the State of Florida for approximately 20 years. After retirement as Assistant State Attorney she went into private practice for several years in Bonifay, Florida.
During this time, Nancy was very involved in several organizations and was a primary organizer and developer of the Children’s Advocacy Center (for abused children) in Panama City, Florida.
Nancy is predeceased by her dearly loved husband of 35 years, Robin Tyler, her father, Dennis Frederick O’Connor, mother, Dorothy O’Connor, sister, Carol Ann, and brother, Timothy. She is survived by her oldest friend, Elisabeth Bennett, who lived with her the past several years as well as numerous close friends. Nancy had a gift of being able to befriend every stranger she ever met. We are eternally grateful to have been a friend.
At her request, Nancy will be cremated without any service and a celebration of life will be at a later date.
