Ten years ago, in 2014, the Washington County, Florida Courthouse in Chipley was condemned due to mold, lead, asbestos and a handful of additional health hazards that rendered the building unfit for human occupation.

Here is Part 1 of a retrospective photo and video gallery by The Goulding Agency, commissioned by Florida’s 14th Judicial Circuit and the Washington County Board of Commissioners, highlighting and documenting the process of inspection, condemnation, demolition and rebuilding of a new state-funded County Courthouse in Washington County, as seen in these images from ten years ago.
