On July 26, 2024, an HCSO deputy stopped a van in the area of Hwy 2 and Hwy 173. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Joseph Haddock, was found to have a warrant out of Washington County.
Haddock was arrested and transported to the jail. During booking, jail staff observed a baggie of meth on the booking floor and contacted the deputy.
Upon reviewing security footage, the deputy saw Haddock drop the baggie, step on it, and attempt to hide it. He then tried to slide it to the holding cell area but failed. Haddock was booked on the outstanding warrant, as well as possession of methamphetamine, and introduction of contraband.
