Tropical activity is trying to start up again in the central Atlantic Ocean.
The National Hurricane Center is monitoring two separate areas that are expected to combine into one in the coming days just east of the Caribbean Sea.
Currently, there is a 50% chance for tropical development in the next 7 days. Projected track is towards the peninsula of Florida by early next week.
There is a chance this disturbance reaches the eastern Gulf of Mexico. Based on the current models, the higher likelihood keeps the system on the eastern side of Florida and in the Atlantic.
Uncertainty with any forecast remains high until an actual system forms.
The next name on the list is Debby. No other areas are being monitored for tropical formation at this time.
