Angel Kent Hobbs, 53, of Marianna, FL, passed away on Sunday, July 28th at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irene Kelly and Harold Kent.
Angel is survived by her devoted spouse of 15 years, Billy Smith, of Marianna. She is also survived by her two sisters, Jackie Welker of Chipley, FL, and Joyce Legare of Palm Harbor, Fl. Angel leaves behind two beloved sons, Joshua Hobbs of Pansey, AL, and Jonathan Hobbs of Marianna, FL. Her memory will be cherished by her two granddaughters, Hailey and Gracie Hobbs, both of Marianna. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Tina Bevis, Angel’s dedicated and compassionate home health aide.
Throughout her life, Angel held various jobs, including working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She also spent many years working at state fairs with the carnival, bringing joy and laughter to countless people.
Although Angel faced the challenges of addiction for many years, she also experienced moments of strength and resilience. Her family hopes that her story will serve as an inspiration for those struggling with addiction, urging them to seek the help they need before it’s too late.
Angel will be remembered for her strong will and stubbornness, as well as her kindness and love. She had a unique spirit that touched the lives of those around her and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will be holding private services to honor and celebrate her life. They appreciate the thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Obert Funeral Home.
