Two Panama City, FL residents were arrested this weekend and booked into the Washington County Jail on drug charges.
Just before 4:00 p.m. on July 28th, a Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a call in reference to suspicious people in the area of Toms Rd. in Ebro. Deputies made contact with the occupants of the vehicle who could not produce a physical copy of their identification.
A brief check of information revealed that all subjects did not have valid driver’s license. All subjects were asked to exit the vehicle and deputies observed 25-year-old Ethan Holloway attempt to dispose of a glass smoking device by throwing it into the woods by the vehicle.
All subjects were detained for further investigation.
A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in deputies locating several illegal items and two plastic baggies of a crystalized substance that later field tested positive for methamphetamine.
Holloway was taken into custody and booked on charges of possession of methamphetamine, evidence destroying or concealing, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A passenger in the vehicle, 25-year-old Ryan A Smith, was also arrested and booked on charges of possession of methamphetamine, and possession of paraphernalia.
