The 2024-2025 Florida Association of District School Superintendents (FADSS) Board of Directors was recently installed during the organization’s Board Summer Planning Meeting. St. Johns County Schools Superintendent Tim Forson will serve as the 2024-2025 president. Forson takes over the helm from Baker County Schools Superintendent Sherrie Raulerson.

FADSS is the statewide education association that solely serves and represents Florida’s 67 district school superintendents. FADSS provides assistance and support to superintendents as they effectively serve and represent their communities as a Constitutional Officer and chief advocate for Florida’s public school system, to ensure that every student has access to a high-quality public education system.

“Our association is fortunate to have Superintendent Forson in this leadership role as president, states FADSS CEO Senator Bill Montford. He is the embodiment of a true education servant leader having dedicated 45 years to public education. I have known Tim for over 12 years, and he is one of the most passionate, yet fierce, advocates for public education and student achievement that I have known during my 50+ years in public education. His intellect combined with his commitment to always putting students first is no doubt the cornerstone of his profound leadership, which routinely yields exceptional results that truly impact the lives of students” adds Montford.

“FADSS is more than the state association of public school superintendents – it is the champion of public education and good public policy to ensure that every student receives the best possible opportunities for academic success, states Forson. I am humbled and honored to serve as president of FADSS, and I consider it a privilege to serve alongside such a stellar group of statewide education leaders on the 2024-2025 FADSS board. Public education is the foundation of a strong society and the cornerstone of our communities, and we need to continue to focus on providing educational equity for all students in a safe and secure environment.”

“The following individuals that comprise FADSS’ board of directors are highly respected leaders in the education realm, and I am privileged to work with such a stellar group of educators,” states Montford. “They have dedicated their life’s work to ensuring the integrity of Florida’s public education system, and I look forward to their leadership as we continue to face the challenges and changes in public education.”
