Judge Timothy Register of the Florida 14th Judicial Circuit dismissed a case brought by Amanda Peel, Joshua Peel and North Florida Contracting and Testing, Inc. against Washington County, Florida, alleging Negligence, Conspiracy and Breach of Fiduciary Duty, with prejudice, on Monday, August 19, 2024, in response to a motion to dismiss by Washington County. The dismissal, filed on August 20, 2024, can be seen below.
Also named as co-defendants were Benjamin Maddox, Wheeler Emergency Management Consultants and Panhandle Excavating.
‘Jurisdiction is reserved to determine Washington County’s entitlement to fees based on its Motion for Sanctions filed on April 17, 2024, and costs to Washington County in defense of this action.’, wrote Judge Register in the order.
