On August 22, 2024, a deputy with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) encountered a female riding a bicycle in Esto.
The individual was identified as Elizabeth Amari, who informed the deputy that she had an outstanding warrant from Gainesville.
A computer check confirmed that Amari had an active warrant out of Alachua County, as well as an additional warrant from North Carolina.
Amari was taken into custody, and during a search of the bag she was carrying, deputies discovered a plastic bag containing methamphetamine, a marijuana pipe, and a meth pipe.
Amari now faces charges for the outstanding warrants, as well as possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
