Drivers will encounter traffic disruptions on the following state roads in Washington County as crews perform construction and maintenance activities.
In preparation for the Labor Day holiday weekend, there will be no lane closures or other activities that impede traffic on major state roads beginning at 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30 and ending at 12 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Washington County:
- Interstate 10 Bridge Rehabilitation over Choctawhatchee River – Motorists may encounter intermittent daytime lane closures Tuesday, Sept. 3 through Friday, Sept. 6 for construction operations.
- State Road (S.R.) 77 widening north of Rodgers Road to south of Cane Mill Road – S.R. 77 drivers will encounter alternating lane closures at Hagan Road, Tuesday, Sept. 3 through Friday, Sept. 6 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Crews will be striping pavement.
All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
