Greg Cole, Volunteer Fire Chief of Greenhead, Florida Volunteer Fire Department met with the Town Council of Wausau, Florida recently to discuss his vision for the upcoming ‘Washington County Fire Gamers’- a competition between fire departments and and opportunity for the public to experience all the drama and excitement of the volunteer fireman’s life.
The event will feature competitive games, including hose rolling, ladder work, fire suppression, and other basics of the fire-fighting industry.
This inaugural event takes place on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the Possum palace in downtown Wausau, Florida, the location of this pat weekend’s Wausau Possum Festival.
