National Weather Service Office in Tallahassee, Florida Issues Flood Watch for Walton, Holmes, Washington, Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, and Franklin

The National Weather Service Office in Tallahassee issued a Flood Watch for Walton, Holmes, Washington, Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, and Franklin counties from Wednesday evening (09-11 20:00 ET) through Thursday evening (09/12 20:00 ET).

Rainfall totals of 3 to 5 inches are expected within the watch area with localized totals up to 8 inches possible.

Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
