Esto, Florida’s ‘Two-Toed Tom Festival’, Celebration of The Area’s Most Notorious Reptile, Takes Place on September 14, 2024

By | September 14, 2024

Two-Toed Tom is a legendary alligator in the Southern United States who terrorized swamp residents along the Alabama-Florida border.

His name came from the fact that all but two toes had been lost in a steel trap. Two-Toed Tom attacked people and animals, and despite the use of guns and dynamite, locals could never kill him. Tracks of a massive alligator with only two toes were seen as recently as the 1980s.

Esto, Florida is a small rural town in the Florida Panhandle which every year about this time celebrated the myth of Two-Toed Tom with an annual festival, featuring food, entertainment and story swapping about the giant swamp lizard.

The festival takes place this year on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 10 AM to 4 PM at John Clark Park in Esto, Florida, with a day packed with fun and entertainment.

The Timberwork’s Lumberjack Show will be performing at this year’s Two-Toed Tom Festival.

With 3 shows throughout the day you’ll see: logrolling, speed pole climbing, axe throwing, hot sawing, springboard chop and more performed by this talented crew of timber sports athletes.

The Timberwork’s Lumberjacks, have been featured on ESPN’s Great Outdoor Games, STIHL’s Timber Sport Series, and ABC’s Wide World of Sports, will be putting on THREE incredible shows throughout the day! You won’t want to miss their amazing skills and thrilling performances. Best of all, this is a FREE event! Bring your family and friends for a fantastic day out. See you there!

And that’s not all! The Two-Toed Tom Festival has something for everyone, including Car Show, Great Bands, Food and Craft Vendors and Kids Activities.
