A Chipley man is behind bars and facing drug-related charges after a traffic stop in Washington County.
At approximately 3:45 a.m., on September 13th, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic stop. As deputies made contact with the subject in the vehicle, they noticed an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in, 37-year-old Allen Lenard Wright, being taken into custody after deputies located illegal drugs and paraphernalia.
Wright was booked into the Washington County Jail on charges of 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of counterfeited license plate, and 2 charges of resisting an officer.
