On September 17, 2024, a Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputy conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 2 for a traffic violation. During the stop, K9 Paycheck was utilized to perform a free air sniff and alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a cell phone, and a wallet located on the passenger floorboard where Donnie Groover was seated. Inside the wallet, deputies found Groover’s personal information along with a plastic baggie containing methamphetamine.
Groover was placed under arrest and faces the following charges of possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
