On Sunday, Sept. 15, around 7 p.m., Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle for swerving between lanes and showing erratic driving behaviors. When deputies made contact with the driver, Joshua Anderson, he stated he previously drank four beers.
Deputies asked Anderson to perform field sobriety exercises, and he consented, but was unable to complete them successfully. Anderson was then transported to Jackson County Correctional Facility where he consented to give a breath sample. Anderson’s first sample showed a breath alcohol content (BAC) of 0.314, and his second sample showed a BAC of 0.294, more than three times the legal limit.
When deputies inventoried Anderson’s vehicle, they also located approximately 58 grams of unpackages mushrooms, which were sent to FDLE for testing.
Anderson was arrested and is being charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Chemical Substance.
