Increase in rainfall totals in the southeast Big Bend
Tropical Storm Watches are now in effect along Apalachee Bay into the southeast Big Bend. Tropical storm force winds could begin as early as late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. Even winds below tropical-storm-force could hamper recovery efforts from Helene and damage weakened trees/structures.
Locally heavy rain is also possible across the southeast Big Bend. Rainfall totals of 3-6″ are expected with localized totals up to 8″. There is also a Moderate Risk of excessive rainfall (level 3 of 4) for the SE Big Bend.
