Washington County, Florida Fire Services Pinning Ceremony For Fire I Graduates Scheduled on Friday, October 25, 2024

The Washington County Fire Services is proud to be hosting a badge pinning ceremony to honor our volunteer firefighters that recently graduated Fire I.

The firefighters who will receive their badges and be sworn in with the Oath of Office are Tiffani (Luke) Rector, Thomas Sznura, Joe Phillips, Benjamin (Cody) Myers, Matthew Mueller, David Knowles, William (Jeromy) Hayes, Jacob Davidson, Phillip (Brad) Collins, Mellisa Collins, and Amanda McComb.

The ceremony comes after the completion of six months in the fire academy at Chipola College. During these six months, these individuals completed 191 hours of intensive training, which consisted of but not limited to search and rescue, ropes and knots, breathing apparatus, ventilation practices, and fire grounds tactics.

On Friday, October 25, 2024, the official pinning ceremony will be held at the Orange Hill Community Center located at 1927 Orange Hill Rd Chipley, Fla at 6:30 p.m.
