Just several hours long and priced very affordably, the FAA Part 107 Drone Certification Prep Course prepares you for the FAA Part 107 exam and on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, four students completed this program at Florida Panhandle Technical College in Chipley, preparing them to take the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 107 Exam.
Seen in these photos (below) are Jeremiah Smith, Matthew Dennison, Billy Harcus and Peyton Brannan, along with Florida Panhandle Technical College Director Larry Moore.
If you use drones to shoot photos and/or video clips, and use these online, you are considered a Commercial Pilot by the FAA, and you must hold the Part 107 licensure.
There are a lot of changes in the FAA Drone Remote Pilot laws- some good and easy, some not so good and harder to understand- and with the new Remote ID regulations, it’s getting easier to get into trouble, so get informed and get legal with a Part 107 Certification.
Class size is limited and for more information about this innovative offering, call Florida Panhandle Technical College at 850-638-1180 (Ext. 317) 8AM-3PM Monday through Thursday, or email paul.goulding@fptc.edu.
