On Sunday, October 20, 2024, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) Deputies and Investigators, along with Jackson County Fire Rescue, responded to reports of a shooting that occurred in Jacob.
Upon arrival, it was discovered that one person had been shot, but was not cooperative in the investigation.
During the course of the investigation, Investigators learned that this was an ongoing dispute that has been occurring in Graceville.
It was discovered that one of the parties involved, Reginald Williams, was on state probation and is a convicted felon.
On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, the JCSO and Graceville Police Department assisted State Probation and Parole in conducting a search warrant on Williams’ home. During a search of the residence, a black semi-automatic pistol was located.
Williams was arrested and is being charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
