Troy Hamilton Wells passed away on November 6, 2024. He was born on May 9, 1977, in Dothan, Alabama, living in Bonifay, Ft. Walton, and his teenage years in Marianna, Florida. His love of sports found him playing football and baseball from the moment he could pick up a ball and carry a bat. He graduated from Marianna High School in 1995 as a multi-sport letterman, then advanced to the collegiate level in baseball as a scholarship player for Chipola College and Faulkner University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2000. Troy has been part of the Sysco Gulf Coast Family for the past two years, living in Geneva County, Alabama.
Troy is survived by his parents, James (Iris) Wells and Gwen Wells; daughter, Alex Wells; brothers, Jamie (Polly) Wells, and Joe (Misty) Wells; sister, Debbi (Keith) Whitaker; girlfriend, Sandy Dalton; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, November 10, 2024, at First Baptist Bonifay. Interment will follow in the Bonifay Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM at First Baptist Bonifay, 311 North Waukesha Street, Bonifay, FL.
