Drivers will encounter traffic disruptions on the following state roads in Washington and Holmes counties as crews perform construction and maintenance activities.
Holmes County:
- State Road (S.R.) 79 Routine Utilities Maintenance near the Bonifay Fire Station – Motorists may encounter intermittent lane closures Monday, Nov. 18 and Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for routine utilities maintenance.
Washington County:
- Interstate 10 Bridge Rehabilitation over Choctawhatchee River – Motorists may encounter intermittent daytime lane closures Monday, Nov. 18 through Friday, Nov. 22 for construction operations.
- U.S. 90 Resurfacing from S.R. 277 (Vernon Highway) to the end of the Four-Lane east of Chipley – Motorists may encounter intermittent lane closures Monday, Nov. 18 through Friday, Nov. 22 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. for construction activities.
- S.R. 77 Widening from Bay County Line to north of Moss Hill Road – Crystal Lake Road drivers may encounter intermittent daytime lane closures beginning Monday, Nov. 18 through Monday, Nov. 25 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from just west of Panther Trail to the intersection of S.R. 77. This lane closure is necessary to reconstruct portions of Crystal Lake Drive. Advanced warning signs, traffic control devices, and traffic flagmen will assist in directing motorists through the work area.
All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
