On August 20th, the Washington County Sheriff’s office was contacted in reference to a welfare check. Family members stated they had tried to get in touch with 21-year-old Andrew Lamar Wilson several times and were unsuccessful. The family members asked WCSO investigators to consider this a missing persons case.
An investigation was conducted, and it found that Wilson was facing charges of lewd and lascivious battery and lewd and lascivious molestation out of Bay County and did not appear for his court date. Further investigation revealed Wilson had travelled to Lawrence County, GA where he has been on the run in an event to avoid criminal charges.
Warrants were issued out of Bay County for his arrest. Wilson was located this morning and taken into custody for the above charges and along with a failure to appear charge. He is currently being held in the Lawrence County Jail.
