The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reports that 19-year-old Ashleigh Breanna Varn, of Grand Ridge, Florida, died as a result of injuries sustained in a Dec. 16th crash on Butler Road in Jackson County.
Varn was driving a 2008 Nissan Altima eastbound on Butler Road at the time of the accident. She traveled into the ditch on the south side of the roadway. Varn then steered back to the left onto the roadway. The FHP reports the driver apparently then overcorrected back to the right. At this point began to rotate clockwise traveling into the ditch on the north side
of the roadway.
The Altima then began to overturn and the driver was ejected from the vehicle. The Altima then came to final rest on
its right side facing east on the north side of the roadway.
The Florida Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Jackson County EMS, and Fire Rescue.
