Washington County Planning Commission grants ‘special exception’ ……………

Meeting in regular session April 2nd, Washington County’s Planning Commission granted a Special Exception Application, a Future Land Use Map Amendment, and made a Text Amendment to the County’s Land Development Code.

After holding public hearings on all issues before them, the Planning Commission approved the following agenda items:

  • Approved a Special Exception Application to allow a mobile home to be placed on property owned by Mark and Bonnie Vatter at 5725 Highwway 77 in Greenhead. The commission was told a well and septic tank are already in place on the property. The Vatters indicated they will be developing an RV park at the address.
  • Approved a Future Land Use Map Amendement, from Agriculture/Silviculture to Low Density Residential, at 1403 Wells Road. The property is owned by Joel Wells, Jr.
  • Approved a Land Development Code Text Amendment deleting Commericial uses from Agriculture/Silviculture and Residential district.

The next meeting of the Washington County Planning commission is scheduled for Tuesday, May 7, 2019.
