CHIPOLA ALL-AMERICAN SOFTBALL PICKS—After winning the college’s third national softball title in May, five Lady Indians have received NJCAA All American honors for the 2019 season. MARIANNA—The hits just keep coming for the Chipola College Softball Team.


After winning the college’s third national softball title in May, five Lady Indians have received NJCAA All American honors for the 2019 season. They include: First Team: Candela Figueroa and Amy Woodham; Second Team: Eila Infante; Third Team: Brianna Bailey and Haley Sandridge.

Chipola clinched the Panhandle Conference championship very early in the season and went on to finish as District 8 champions at the FCSAA State Tournament, earning a berth to the national tournament in St. George, Utah.


The team saved their best performance for nationals, scoring 69 runs in the tournament. Chipola scored wins over Lake Land (10-2), Temple (7-3), Central Florida (15-2), Angelina (18-1) and (19-2) in the title game.
