Paying Tribute to Vietnam Veterans on Feb. 1st ………..

GAINESVILLE, FL. The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System has partnered with Alachua County Veteran Services once again to honor Vietnam Veterans and thank them for their service to our Country. The tribute will include both a vehicle procession from the VA medical Center on Archer Road to Kanapaha Veterans Memorial Park, where a wide variety of festivities will occur.

On Saturday, February 1, 2020 everyone is invited to attend a free family event that will start with a Patriotic Tribute Ride.  The ride starts at the Malcom Randall Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) and kick stands up at 10:30 a.m.  The ride will end at Veterans Memorial Park (7400 SW 41st Place, Gainesville).  Following the ride, all are invited to gather at Veterans Memorial Park at 11:00 a.m. to attend a formal program and view military displays, Vietnam Veteran exhibits, and much much more.

Volunteers are needed for the festivities at the park and also volunteers who have experience with motorcycle and vehicle parade processionals.
