The Friends of the Washington County Library
welcome all Friends to the monthly meeting
 Thursday, February 6, 2020, 12-1:00 p.m.,
at the John Wesley Center of the                                              First United Methodist Church of Chipley

Our monthly speaker for January is retired elementary school principal, Nicey T. Eller. Nicey traded professional suits for cowgirl boots when she and her husband Jay moved to the country to build their log home, raise cattle, and enjoy more time with their children and grandchildren.

A published poet and prolific letter writer, Nicey remains active in education as a mentor and consultant, and she serves in her church as a teacher and Celebrate Recovery leader. She relishes brisk walks and has completed two half-marathon trail races, actually finishing before a few runners who were not injured.

Her favorite sound is laughter born of joy and triumph, and of all her blessings, she is most grateful for grace.

Nicey and Jay are loyal Troy University Trojan sports fans and live in Abbeville, Alabama.

President’s Message:

Dear Friends,

I hope this newsletter finds each of you well and happy. We are all looking forward to our February meeting on the 6th, at 12 noon. I hope that all of our members will attend and bring guests as we have a special speaker this month.

The date for GAME NIGHT is March 12, 2020. Please begin talking about this event with family, friends and neighbors and encourage them to attend our ONLY public fundraiser for the year.

If you would like to serve as a member of the Steering Committee, please contact either Renae or Pat. The purpose of this committee is to find candidates for our officers and to assist in setting goals, ways and means for our organization.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on February 6th.

Regards,

Pat Dickson
