Dorothy Annette Sasser, 77, of Chipley, Florida passed away on the afternoon of December 31, 2020 at Southeast Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama.
Dorothy was born in the Panhandle of Florida and was a 1961 graduate of Graceville High School.
She was preceded in death by both parents and brothers Elton Jenkins, Elbert Jenkins, Willam Jenkins, and Jimmy Jenkins; grandson: Joseph Nellums.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years: JT Sasser of Chipley; one daughter: Montaren Sheridan of Chipley; one son: Scott Sasser and wife Tracy of Tampa; one sister in-law: Isabel Jenkins of Gulf Breeze; two grandchildren: Vernita Hutto and husband Tyler of Graceville and Jayden Sasser of Tampa; several nieces and nephews and several great grandchildren.
Dorothy was a retired Executive Director of Chipley Housing Authority. She loved spending time with her family and talking with friends. She had an infectious laugh and smile, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Memorialization will be by cremation with Obert Funeral Home of Chipley in charge of arrangements. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
