Jeffrey Glenn Porter, 56, of Tallahassee/Panama City joined his father in heaven on February 19, 2022.

Jeff was born on November 24, 1965, in Panama City, Florida.

He was a graduate of Mosley High School and Florida State University-Panama City.

He served his country as a US Army Reserve and his community as Chairman of the Gadsden County Republican Party of Florida.

He is preceded in death by his father Curtis Glenn Porter Jr. and grandparents Curtis Glenn Porter Sr., Evelyn Porter, William Biles and Weet Biles.

Jeff was an avid car enthusiast and could always be found to have several project cars laying around. He loved to hunt with his family any time that he got the chance.

Those that had the good fortune to know Jeff knew of his quick wit, deep loyalty to family and friends, his almighty love for a fast car with a deep throaty growl, and a stiff drink with a good cigar with beloved friends and family.

However, his greatest pride and joy was his grandchildren and the privilege of being an influence in their lives.

Those left with the fondest memories of Jeff are his mother Carol Porter Austin (Jerry); son Gregrey (Christie); daughter Rebecca Stuart (Lindsey); brothers Joseph “Joe” Porter (Tami); Stephen Austin (Laura); Keith Austin (Tommy); grandchildren Kaylie and Gregrey Porter and Toby, Maddox, and Judah Stuart; nephew Ricky Porter; niece Kaiti, grandmother Louise Biles; aunt Sally Porter Stebbins; cousin Sherwin Prows (Emelie) and many wonderful family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Southerland Family Funeral Home with Steve Southerland officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

For those who wish, donations can be made to Shaddai Shriners Hospital Transportation Fund at 1101 W. 19th Street Panama City, FL 32401, in memory of Jeff Porter.
