Washington County, Florida Emergency Operations Advises of More Severe Weather Around 10AM-1PM on Tuesday, April 5, 2022

By | April 4, 2022

It appears we are in for another round of severe weather tomorrow beginning around 10AM-1PM when a squall line will begin moving through the area.

The southeast portion of the county may not see the line push through until around 1PM-4.

At this time, we are not in the enhanced risk category like we were last week.

However, the National Weather Service indicates the line may be moved further south to include us by later today.  As of 1:30PM, Washington County was in the Slight Risk (2 out of 5).

Last week when we had the tornado we were in the Enhanced Risk (3 out of 5).   At this time the weather service has indicated damaging winds and tornadoes are our worst threats.

Rainfall amounts widespread will be 2-3 inches while locally heavier amounts may be 4-6 inches.

There will be another round of storms on Wednesday, but the timing is more uncertain.  The threats could be large hail and damaging winds.

Tomorrow’s weather appears to be more organized as last week’s event that brought devastation.  Please stay tuned to your local media.
