Washington County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Arrests Jason Sterling Shipes for Resisting Arrest Without Violence

A Washington County man was arrested after he led law enforcement on a foot pursuit earlier this morning.
 
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a tip that 51-year-old Jason Sterling Shipes, who was absconded from DOC for a VOP warrant was located at a residence near Armstrong Mill Rd. and Mill Wright Rd.
 
Once WCSO deputies were on scene Shipes fled the residence and sent LEO on a pursuit. At approximately 8:30 a.m. this morning, K-9 teams from the NWFL Reception Center and Holmes CI were deployed and Shipes was located a few hours later.
 
Shipes was transported to the Washington County Jail on the charges of resisting arrest without violence.
