Travis Modell Corbin, 79 of Cottondale, Florida Passes on February 27, 2024 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama

Travis Modell Corbin, 79 of Cottondale, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on February 27, 2024, at Flowers Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Travis was born on June 22, 1944, in Jackson County, Florida to Moad F. Corbin and Frankie Lee Benefield.  A lifelong resident of the Florida Panhandle and was a faithful member of Sapp Church in Cottondale, Florida. Travis worked at the Florida Department of Transportation for 30 years. He owned and operated Corbin Auto Sales for 50 years, Corbin Sand and Clay for over 20 years.

He also developed over 55 rental properties for the residents of Washington County. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening at home. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Travis will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and businessman. 

He was preceded in death by his parents: Moad and Frankie Corbin; 9 siblings.

He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years: Rhonda Corbin of Chipley, Florida; sons: Dell Corbin (Cheryl) of Chipley, Florida, Troy Corbin (Pam) of Chipley, Florida, David Corbin (Heather) of Chipley, Florida; step son: Kayton Stoyak of Hartford, Alabama; grandchildren: Cierra Relyea (Byron), Jenna Corbin (Chase), Chandler Corbin, Alex Corbin (Kristina), Amberly Corbin (David Miller), Davis Corbin, Sydney Corbin, Luke Clark (Madison), Ian Reardon, Kaitlin Thompson, Aidan Stoyak, Isabella Stoyak, Collins Stoyak, James Hennessey; great grandchildren: Kinsley Corbin, Madison Relyea, Hasley Corbin, Eden Clark, Adeline Relyea, Eva Grace McCray, Ryker Capps, Cora Capps.

Service will be held 12 PM Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Chipley, Florida with Bro. Shane Obert and Bro. Gerald Vickery officiating. Interment will follow in Sapp Church cemetery in Cottondale, Florida. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.

The family will receive friends for visitation Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 10-12 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Chipley, Florida.
