Jackson County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Arrests Daniel Jefferson Carroll for Violation of Parole, Possession of Firearm and Domestic Battery

On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a report that Daniel Jefferson Carroll was threatening and harassing several victims at a location in Graceville. Deputies attempted to make contact with Carroll, but upon deputy arrival, Carroll had already fled the scene on an ATV. Carroll was known to be in possession of a firearm and had active warrants for his arrest.

On Friday, February 23, investigators and members of the United States Marshals Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Taskforce executed a search warrant at a residence Carroll was known to frequent and confirmed that Carroll was in possession of a handgun. Both the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals continued tirelessly searching for Carroll in the coming days.

On Tuesday, March 26, investigators received information about Carroll’s possible location and responded to the area. When law enforcement arrived, Carroll had again fled the scene. Carroll was located a short time later and taken into custody.

Caroll’s initial warrant was for Violation of Parole. He is now additionally being charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Domestic Battery.
