Jean Beverly Sandfort, 76 of Chipley, passed from this life on April 3, 2024 at her sister’s home in Southport, Florida.

Jean was born on June 25, 1947 in Orange, New Jersey to Nelson and Dorothy (Johnston) Stoll. She worked for the City of East Orange, New Jersey for over 30 years and later the Jewish Center in Newton, NJ. A resident of the Florida Panhandle for the past 10 years, coming from Newton, New Jersey, Jean was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Sunny Hills, Florida. Jean had an exuberant spirit and loved people, having never met a stranger. She enjoyed getting dressed up, making sure her makeup was perfect, and going dancing. Jean was never without wearing her bling and always shared her fun – loving spirit with everyone. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Nelson and Dorothy Stoll; brother: James Stoll.

She is survived by her husband: Dennis Sandfort of Chipley, Florida; son: Kevin Horvath and Amy Jo Miller of Henrico, Virginia; sister: Carol Oakley and husband Larry Hammond of Southport, Florida; granddaughter: Judy Sullivan and husband Grady of Virginia; grandson: Joey Sandfort of Pennsylvania

Funeral service will be held 10AM Monday, April 8, 2024,at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Sunny Hills, Florida with Father Paul Moody officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Sunny Hills, Florida. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Emerald Coast Hospice in Panama City, FL or St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Chipley, Florida.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 4-7PM Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Obert Funeral Home, 731 Kirkland Road, Chipley, Florida.
