On December 9, 2025, while on patrol in Vernon, Fl, investigators with the Washington County Drug Task Force attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic infraction. The deputy activated his emergency lights in an attempt to initiate a traffic stop. During the slow-speed attempt to flee, the vehicle momentarily accelerated and then decelerated, at which point the passenger opened the door and exited the moving vehicle.
Contact was made with the passenger who had exited the vehicle. After a search of the passenger Clayton Bradley, he was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Clayton Bradley, 31 years of age, was arrested and charged with drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana less than 20 grams.
The driver of the vehicle, Justin Brown 37 years of age, was arrested and charged with flee/elude law enforcement officer.
Brown and Clayton were both transported to the Washington County Jail.
