On December 20th, Walton County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reckless driving complaint called into dispatch involving a lifted black truck swerving in and out of traffic on 331 South.
Deputies quickly located and stopped the vehicle in the Publix shopping center near Marquis Way.
During the stop, the driver, identified as Dustin Bryant, 43, of Freeport consented to a search of the vehicle which revealed approximately 19 grams of meth, a glass pipe, and multiple loaded firearms, including a handgun and two rifles.
The driver, Dustin Wayne Bryant, was arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine (over 14 grams), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Bryant was transported to the Walton County Jail and was released the following day on a $50,000 bond.
