The Jackson County Board of County Commissioners have scheduled a Special Meeting on Tuesday, January 6, 2025.
Of prime concern will be the task of interviewing six candidates for the position of county attorney, following the dismissal of former Jackson County Attorney Michelle Jordan.
The committee responsible for ranking the candidates consisted of Frank Bondurant, Donnie Branch, Woodrow W. Hatcher, and Herman Laramore.
Candidate ranking is: Nathan G. Nolin-1, Casey Bigelow-2, Hartman Law Firm-3, Blankenship and Jordan-4, Knowles and Randolph-5, and Marcus Green-6.
Candidates will be presented with a predetermined set of questions and asked to provide their responses, and commissioners will ask follow-up questions, all within 30 minutes.
After all interviews have been conducted, the Board will convene to cast their votes and choose the next attorney for the County Commissioners’ Board.
