Donnie Sowell, 72, of Graceville passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025, at his home. Donnie was born October 09, 1953, in Moultrie, Georgia to the late Johnnie Edward and Lucy Carter Sowell.
He spent most of his life as a truck driver and loved being outdoors. Donnie also loved mechanic work, and he was known for his ability to work on any type of vehicle, from big trucks to four-wheelers. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
Donnie is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sister, Judy Bell, his brothers Wayne Sowell and Lamar Sowell, as well as four nieces and nephews and many extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be 12:00 PM, Friday, January 2, 2026, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Eddie Biss officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home directing.
