A traffic stop initiated for unsafe driving in the Sneads area led to the discovery of illegal narcotics and the arrest of two individuals.
A deputy with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office observed a white Ford Mustang driving recklessly on River Road. After continued unsafe driving, the deputy initiated a traffic stop.
During the course of the investigation deputies caught the individuals with methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Deputies also found prescription medication inside a purse that did not belong to the individual named on the prescription. As a result of the investigation, two individuals were arrested and charged with drug-related offenses.
Brittany Nicole Thurman was arrested and charged with:
• Possession of Methamphetamine
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Raven Michelle McClure was arrested and charged with:
• Possession of Methamphetamine
• Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance (Oxycodone) without a valid prescription
Both individuals were transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility.
