Ruth Ann Windholtz, 84 of Chipley, Florida passed from this life on December 18, 2025.
Ruth was born on March 20, 1941, in Osseo, Minnesota, to Melvin Mathena and Dorothy Moos. Dorothy was a faithful member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and had a deep love for gardening. More than anything Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved dog, Dolly. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Melvin Mathena and Dorothy Moos; brothers: Earl Mathena, William Mathena, David Mathena; sisters: Lucille Dahhmeimer and Marie Lutgen.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years: Richard Windholtz of Chipley, FL; sons: James Windholtz of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Nolan Windholtz of Chipley, FL, Patrick Windholtz of Fort Lauderdale, FL; sister: Kathleen Clemensen of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren: Lauren, Caleb, Abby, Jamie, and Thomas; great-grandchild: Michael.
Service will be held 10 AM Thursday, January 8, 2026, at St. Therasa Catholic Church in Chipley, Florida. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, FL directing.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM prior to the service at the church.
