Holmes County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Arrests Raymond Mixon and Linda Ray for Methamphetamine, Etc.

On January 3, 2026, officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 177A for multiple equipment and safety violations. During the course of the stop, a Holmes County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit responded to the scene and conducted a free-air sniff of the vehicle, resulting in a positive alert for the presence of illegal narcotics.

Subsequent investigation led to the discovery of methamphetamine, syringes, and drug paraphernalia inside

the vehicle and in the possession of two passengers. Raymond Mixon, 35, of Bonifay, and Linda Ray, 30, of DeFuniak Springs, were arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with evidence.

The driver was issued a citation for no proof of insurance and was released at the scene.

The Bonifay Police Department appreciates the assistance and cooperation of the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office and remains steadfast in its commitment to enforcing the law, combating illegal drug activity, and safeguarding the safety and well-being of the community.
