A routine traffic stop took a “scent-sational” turn when Holmes County Sheriff’s Office K9 Timex put his nose to work in Ponce de Leon.
While a deputy was speaking with the driver, K9 Timex conducted a free-air sniff around the vehicle and gave his unmistakable “sniff of disapproval.” A search of the vehicle followed, leading deputies straight to a bag in the front passenger seat—occupied by Tammy Currington—which contained marijuana and a fully loaded meth pipe.
When questioned, Currington didn’t try to “weed” out the truth and admitted the items belonged to her. She was promptly arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
