The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two individuals in connection with an animal cruelty investigation.
HCSO Animal Control received multiple complaints regarding dogs that were not being properly cared for and were reported to be aggressive at residences located on Gator Lane and Quail Hollow. Animal Control officers made several visits to the residences in an effort to gain compliance from the owners; however, the owners refused to properly care for the animals by failing to provide adequate food and water.
Due to the lack of care, the condition of the dogs continued to deteriorate. As a result, HCSO Animal Control obtained arrest warrants for Dennis Griffin and Michael Folsom on charges of animal cruelty. Both individuals were arrested.
Investigators are currently working on the necessary paperwork to take custody of the dogs to ensure their safety and well-being.
