On January 19, 2026, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 90 and Boswell Road involving a vehicle driven by John Dixon.
During the stop, deputies developed probable cause to search the vehicle. While speaking with Dixon, a deputy observed him attempting to conceal a plastic baggie containing methamphetamine under his foot. Dixon was taken into custody.
A further search of the vehicle revealed marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Dixon was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and Tampering with Evidence.
