An Extreme Cold Watch has been issued for all of east central Florida Saturday evening into Sunday afternoon, as well as yet another Freeze Watch. Frigid wind chills between 7-18 degrees are forecast Sunday morning.
There is increasing confidence in sustained winds 20-30 mph, with gusts 40-50 mph. Windy conditions will likely disrupt preparations to protect sensitive vegetation and pipes.
Ensure any tarps, blankets, or wrappings around sensitive plants or pipes are properly secured. Any preparations should be completed by Saturday morning at the latest to avoid the strongest winds.
