Washington County, Florida Announces Temporary Office Closure to Honor Late County Administrator Allen J. Massey

Washington County, Florida has announced a Temporary Office Closure to honor the late County
Administrator Allen J. Massey.

Today, the Washington County Board of County Commissioners announced that all County offices will be closed on Monday, February 2, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. CST.

This closure is to allow County employees the opportunity to attend the visitation and service for Washington County Administrator Allen “Jeff” Massey, who passed from this life on January 27, 2026.

Services will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church in Chipley, Florida, on Monday, February 2, 2026, as follows:

  • Visitation: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
  • Service: 11:00 a.m.
    The Board of County Commissioners and staff appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we
    honor Mr. Massey’s dedicated service to Washington County.
    All offices will resume regular business hours at 1:30 p.m. CST on Monday, February 2.
