On January 4, 2026, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office investigators executed a search warrant at a residence on Grass Pond Lane.
Contact was made with Charles Jones, who is a registered sex offender. Jones was taken into custody for failure to register his email and social media accounts as required by law.
During a search of his camper, investigators located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Investigators also discovered an unregistered cellular phone. Jones was additionally charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jones was charged with the following:
• Failure to register email and social media accounts
• Possession of methamphetamine
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
