Emma Mae Tice, 98 of Marianna, Florida Passes on February 7, 2026

Emma Mae Tice, 98, of Marianna, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on February 7, 2026.

Emma Mae was born March 22, 1927, in Cottondale, Florida, to Nathan and Gussie Porter. She retired from the State of Florida Department of Health in 1989.

Emma Mae loved the Lord and, until her death, was the oldest living member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Kynesville, Florida, where she was a lifelong member. She served many years as music director, was a faithful member of the choir, and served on various committees.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Nathan and Gussie Porter; husband: Tommie E. Tice; son: Eddie Tice; grandson: Timothy Tice; son-in-law: Ron Johnson; brothers: Woodrow (Elizabeth) Porter, CJ Porter; sisters: Dorothy (John T.) Branning, Erma Earl(LT) Lane; brother-in-law: Bobby Compton.

She is survived by her children: James (Christine) Tice of Cottondale, Florida, Patricia (Tommy) Sasser of Chipley, Florida, Jerry (Brenda) Tice of Eufaula, Alabama, Cathy Johnson of Dothan, Alabama; daughter-in-law: Linda Tice of Columbia, South Carolina; sister: Sybil Compton of Chipley, Florida; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Bethlehem Church, Kynesville, Florida, with Bro. Ronnie Wright officiating. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.

The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
