Strengthening northwesterly winds will usher a colder and much drier air mass into our area this afternoon.
These gusty winds will combine with plummeting humidity values to create dangerous wildfire conditions, and a Red Flag Warning will be in effect from 1 PM through 9 PM today for locations from Waycross and Blackshear, GA southward.
Similarly dangerous fire weather conditions will continue on Monday afternoon and evening, and a Fire Weather Watch has been maintained for our entire region.
Prepare your home for potential wildfires and know evacuation routes
